What a brilliant day that was. I stayed at Andy Middleton's place in Whitesands Bay overnight. Andy is a great doer of all things envronmental and has an adventure organisation called TYF in St Davids.
Ade and David (from howies) came over at 9am and we set out to ride to Cardigan (about 40 miles or so). Well it was perfect blue sky weather and we chatted, huffed and puffed up hills, zipped down a few as well. Had a top custard slice in Fishguard and excellent mushrooms on toast in Newport before rounding the day off with a beer or two back in Cardigan. Can't get much better than that.
On route we bumped into some fellow bikers all loaded up with bags and trailers. They were a cycling travelling theatre called Otesha (otesha.org.uk). They are travelling through this part of Wales playing in schools and youth clubs with their plays inspiring kids to learn about sustainable living. We had a good old chin wag and headed off on our separate ways. They are doing a special thing and I hope they have a great time.
